What is MLD?
The Lymphatic System transports lymphatic fluid (lymph) throughout the body, helping to remove waste and toxins, fight infections, and support the immune system. With my certification in MLD and Post-op MLD, I can work with your body to enhance and improve these functions in a gentle way to improve your overall well-being.
The lymphatic system is an essential part of the circulatory system and plays a critical role in maintaining our overall health. It is a complex network of vessels, organs, and tissues that work together to transport lymphatic fluid (lymph) throughout the body, helping to remove waste and toxins, fight infections, and support the immune system.

The lymphatic system is comprised of lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, the spleen, thymus gland, and the tonsils. Lymphatic vessels are thin, tube-like structures that carry lymphatic fluid from tissues and organs to the lymph nodes, which filter and purify the fluid before it is returned to the bloodstream. The spleen, thymus gland, and tonsils also play important roles in filtering and purifying lymphatic fluid.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized technique that is designed to stimulate lymphatic flow and encourage the removal of excess fluid and waste from the body. During MLD, the therapist uses gentle, rhythmic movements to manipulate the skin and lymphatic vessels, applying light pressure and stretching the skin in a specific sequence to stimulate lymphatic flow.

MLD is a highly specialized technique that requires extensive training and experience to perform effectively.
